What is SOAR?

  • SOAR stands for Student Outreach Action Resources
  • This program, targeted towards freshmen, allows students to be involved more directly on campus by participating in committees, discussions, and SGA events.
  • SOAR has three executive positions that freshmen can apply for each Fall, however all students can be general members in this program.
  • SOAR is a great way for students to build their leadership skills and kickstart their journey on SGA!

Meagan Fama

Hi Everyone! As you probably already know, my name is Meagan and I am your SGA Secretary! One of my main duties in this role is to oversee the SOAR program, an auxiliary program dedicated towards freshmen. SOAR is a great way for students to build their leadership skills and make their voices heard on campus. It is also a great opportunity for students who are interested in SGA to get involved! There are different committees that students can sit on and come up with ideas to enhance campus life and boost student morale. If you are interested in joining as a general member, I highly encourage you to check us out! We meet on alternating Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7-8pm.

Hi there! My name is Sahil Singh, and I’m a freshman majoring in Aerospace Engineering on the Astronautics track. I’m from Fremont, a city in the San Francisco Bay Area in California.
